Dr. Mario Dumas

Dr. Mario Dumas, from Quebec City, graduated from Laval University Dentistry Program in 1987. He practiced General Dentistry with the Canadian Armed Forces for 5 years before returning to school in 1992 to obtain a specialty in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Upon completion, Dr. Dumas gained valuable clinical experience during the following 7 years of service within the CAF as for many years he was the lone military oral and maxillofacial surgeon providing care for Central and Eastern Canada. With solid orthognathic and reconstructive surgery experience, he left the CAF in 2003 to establish a private practice in Gatineau. Dr. Dumas is now the head of the Gatineau CSSS Maxillofacial Surgery Service and maintains a practice covering all aspects of major as well as minor maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Dumas is an avid outdoor enthusiast who greatly appreciates the tranquility of nature. If not in his office, he can most readily be found exploring Gatineau Park on foot, bike or skis.
